Surveys

IN LIGHT OF CONTINUED POLITICAL PRESSURE FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS TO OPEN FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR, WE WOULD LIKE FEEDBACK FROM OUR SCHOOL BASED EDUCATORS. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SHORT SURVEY ON YOUR COMFORT LEVEL IN RETURNING TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING.

Here are the results of SC for Ed’s COVID-19 Increased Risk Survey, which over 7,600 educators took over three days this past week. For context, there are over 50,000 educators in South Carolina according to the most recent SCDE data. Most of the responses were from teachers, although other school staff were represented as well.

SC for Ed is mindful that returning to face to face is the goal; however, any discussions about reopening must grapple
with the health risks COVID-19 brings to teachers and school staff.

We hope this data will empower teachers and staff to add the need for adult school staff safety, as well as the safety of students and families, to the conversation.
